Studenckie Koło Naukowe Archeologów przy Instytucie Archeologii Uniwersytetu Wrocławskiego, ma zaszczyt zaprosić na Studencką Konferencję Naukową, która odbędzie się w dniach 4-5 kwietnia 2009 roku we Wrocławiu. Temat tegorocznego spotkania wyraża hasło:

Dzieje człowieka rozpustnego...,
czyli seksualność w dawnych wiekach.

Seksualność człowieka zawsze stanowiła istotny element rozważań nad naturą ludzką. Uwaga, jaką poświęcano temu zagadnieniu, nigdy nie ograniczała się do aspektu biologicznego, czego dowodem są licznie funkcjonujące, ściśle przypisane normy zachowań uświęconych przez tradycję, religię czy filozofię. Wachlarz postaw, od skrajnego purytanizmu do rozpasanego libertynizmu, dotyczących tej, określanej niekiedy intymną, sfery życia człowieka, który możemy zaobserwować na przestrzeni dziejów, czyni zeń temat z pewnością interesującym i niebanalnym. Liczymy, zatem na podjęcie dyskusji o szeroko rozumianej seksualności i erotyce, ich roli w społeczeństwie, przedstawieniach, symbolice oraz kulturze materialnej z nimi związanej, od epoki kamienia po renesans. Zmiany w podejściu do cielesności człowieka, stały się jednym ze składowych czynników kształtujących naszą kulturę, czego dowodem jest fakt, iż niejednokrotnie w powszechnym mniemaniu właśnie to kryterium bywa wyznacznikiem stopnia ucywilizowania danej społeczności.

Mając świadomość interdyscyplinarnego charakteru nauki, pragniemy zaprosić do wspólnej dyskusji przedstawicieli wielu dziedzin, licząc, że zestawienie różnorodnych źródeł, pozwoli uzyskać bogaty obraz tej z pewnością intrygującej i wzbudzającej zrozumiałe emocje tematyki. Mamy nadzieję, że wśród prelegentów, obok archeologów znajdą się także, historycy, historycy sztuki, antropolodzy kulturowi i fizyczni. Mimo studenckiego charakteru spotkania, szczególne zaproszenie kierujemy do absolwentów, doktorantów i pracowników naukowych.
